Wuya and friend at #55 Dama Road

Wuya (front) Karankey was deaf and was one of Pa Karankey's wives.  She spoke with an odd pattern. Here she is seen with a friend who had a bad burn on her right arm - now well healed.   In the picture are also local boys Mondima (right) and also Momo Vandy (left). I do not know the women's name behind Wuya.  The pan contains "ground nuts" that have been roasted and readied for the school market on the following day. Taken in 1969.
