Pass this blog address on
Please pass this blog address on if you think you know someone who might be interested in it. I would also like to hear from anyone who has corrections or comments.
I am excited to pass on this blog to my father, Peter Krusch. He was Peace Corp administrator 1969-1970ish we lived in Mekeni. I found the blog when I was searching about the garra fabric. We still have some and we want to share this vintage cloth. If anyone is interested in this cloth please contact me at colormegreen@myfairpoint.net. If you want to get in touch with Peter, email me as well and I'll connect you! Thanks, the little girl of 5 when I was there with the family. Nancy
I knew Peter when I was in Sierra Leone. If I remember correctly he was in community development as you noted - in the Northern Province. Your dad was a friend of Skip Smith (he was in Matotaka) - and Peter and Skip were the only Vermonters in our Peace Corps program at that time - I think I am correct at this. I think Skip has been in touch with Peter from time to time. I also live in Vermont (Norwich) since 1970 after we returned from Sierrsa Leone. Thanks for your comments. We also have a lot of garra still - and country cloth - and wax prints.
