Limba Man Making container (Bulie) for Palm Wine

This photo was taken near Kenema in a village locally known as Limba Corner. The Limba are an ethnic group from the north of Sierra Leone. In our area the Limba did a variety of work including the gathering and selling of palm wine. Here this man crafts a bulie or gourd container for keeping and poring the wine. For me palm wine had a yeasty taste which was best on a hot day when your were thirsty. For a larger picture see further on in the blog.
