Supper time at #55 Dama Road c. 1969

Wuya Karankey serves up rice at the outdoor kitchen at No. 55 Dama Road in Kenema. Hard of hearing, Wuya ran a very small market of bananas and roasted ground nuts (peanuts) during the day. One of two wives of Pa Karankey (who settled in Kenema from Guinea), Wuya was Mende. The woman in green on the left is her housemate Salimatu Tholey Karankey. Moiyatu Kemoh is above her.
