Ye Massa with Segburreh

Ye Massa is here playing a women's instrument known in Mende as a segburreh (or shake-shake). Ye Massa was a very strong person. Afraid of nothing, bold of speech and behavior, she was a very talented segburreh player and one of the leaders of the women's Bondo Society in the Kenema area.
